My daughter loves coming to school here

So far so good. My daughter loves coming to school here. They song songs and practice performances. Wish we could enter but due to covid we are not allowed. It would also be great of they could facilitate us meeting other parents to build a greater sense of community. For now, as long as my daughter is happy then I am as well.

We had a great experience here!!! Very highly recommended. We were blown away with the academic level. Our daughter learned so much with Miss Jessica, she is amazing…. Only positive things to say about this school. Incredible communication with teacher and their dojo app. You will not regret it!!!!!

Raising the bar

June 12, 2020 by ray

My son looks forward in going to school every day! Miss Theresa and her team really raise the bar in enriching his life through learning and creating a safe space where he feels safe. He’s only been attending Oneonta for a few months, but he surprises me regularly with the new things he learns at school.

Thankful to have found OMS

My husband and I are so thankful we got a last minute spot at Oneonta this August. We have a 5 year old son who started kindergarten with Ms. Audrey and so far it has exceeded our expectations. My husband and I are both public middle school teachers and spent many months touring public schools for our little one. Our oldest went to large high performing school and fit in just fine from the start but our youngest has a different personality. He’s a smart little guy but he is super shy and needs a smaller more nurturing environment. So we decided to pull him out from the public school he started at and enrolled him at Oneonta. I was super nervous to make the switch at first because I didn’t know how he would react to a new school but now I am absolutely positive we made the right decision. Our son absolutely loves Oneonta. Ms Audrey really works with your child to meet their needs and Ms. Carol is super sweet and caring towards the children. The office staff worked with us to get him enrolled ASAP and assured us he would be taken care of. Our son comes home saying he wants to go back to his class because he has so much fun there. He sings, dances and talks about things he learned from school. Today they went on a field trip to a farm and he could not stop talking about it. Oneonta has been a true blessing for my family.

Oneonta is the best!

Oneonta Montessori School is the best!!  This school was our son’s second home from 1st through 6th grade, and he absolutely flourished there!  The director, Ms. Fiona, and all of the teachers were very nurturing towards the children and responsive to any parent concerns.  The kids were not only provided with a safe and fun-filled environment (creating beautiful artworks, adventurous field-trips, end-of-year sports day and talent show, etc.), but were also challenged academically with thought-provoking books to read and analyze, eye-opening science and cultural geography research projects, accelerated mathematics, etc.  Oneonta Montessori engaged the kids in a yearly Spelling Bee, Science Fair, Poetry Contest, and Math Whiz Competition.  They also taught the kids the importance of giving back by having them participate in the Spark of Love (giving Christmas presents to needy children) and Pennies for Patients (raising money for leukemia patients).  This school provided the children with many opportunities to explore their unique talents and consistently encouraged them with a “yes-you-can” attitude.  Our son loved this school!  He was more than well prepared to enter junior high school.  If you want a great academic program and a well-rounded education for you child, I highly recommend Oneonta Montessori School!
