Happy I found this school

September 15, 2017 by ray

My daughter recently graduated from Angels, she attended this school for three years and left more than prepared to start kindergarten. The curriculum is top notch, children began to learn to read and write at four years old. The teachers do work with each child based on their levels of learning so no child falls behind. The school also offers extracurricular activities, such as dance, science and soccer.

I was surprised by the negative review regarding teachers ignoring a crying child, frankly, during the time my daughter attended Angels, I never witnessed any of this, in the contrary, I witnessed caring and nurturing teachers helping children with all their needs. Also, they helped my daughter develop social skills as she was very shy when she first attended and after being there for some time, slowly came out of her shell.

As a parent, I would never recommend a school I do not feel comfortable with, this school offers a positive environment that allows children to grow, learn and become independent. Thank you Melina and staff for the fond memories, in particular Ms. Patty and Ms. Terry.

Not a good fit

Director seemed very snippy on our visit. Seemed inconvenienced. Doesn’t bode well for dealing or communicating with issues in my opinion if someone has an irritable personality. Perhaps it was a bad day?

I’m an educator so I tend to have high standards of schools and professionalism. I know with my students and parents I need to maintain a cheerful and welcoming demeanor, even if I’m having a bad day.

Not a good fit for my child.

Felt uncomfortable

August 27, 2016 by ray

Name: Karina M.

I want to clarify that my child did not attend this school. I also want to note that I am a public school teacher with a teaching credential and 6 years of experience working with children in a professional setting. This review is from a tour I had with my husband. Although the facilities are great I just couldn’t get over the fact that while I was there for only about 15 minutes we saw 2 children crying and none of the adults nearby (including the director standing next to us) tried to comfort those children. Right when we went into the 2 year old room I saw a teacher and her assistant teaching the alphabet with an iPad all while a little boy sobbed sitting on the carpet. The assistant was holding two other children that were content meanwhile this little boy sat there just crying. I honestly can’t remember what the director said about the 2 year old program because all I could think about was that poor little kid. We walked out to the outdoor space and another girl maybe 3 years old ran by us crying. I didn’t see where the girl went but the director just continued on with the tour without trying to figure out what was wrong with that child. Needless to say we didn’t enroll our child here and I left that day feeling terrible for those 2 kids we saw crying without being comforted.

Love It!

This school is everything I had been looking for for my son. From the first tour I was hooked, now 6 years later my son is out and my daughter is now enrolled. The director is so intelligent and friendly, she’s always on top of things and the teachers are caring. Oh almost forgot to mention, the school is always S. P. O. T. L. E. S. S. LOVE IT! Both of my kids adjusted so well and learned so much at such a young age, I’m so glad we found this gem! Thanks Melina!

Stop Looking, This is it!

To any new parent with little toddlers …stop looking this is it! This pre-k is clean, cute!, doesn’t smell bad like other daycare i check out before i found angel montessori preschool. I appreciate Boss lady ( Miss Melina) very caring, honest and protective for our kids. Our daughter started out in the 2-3 yrs old class with miss pattymiss marecilamiss sara . now move to 3-4yrs old classes . This school have their systems with each age group and teaching methods . I like the fact that is hidden away, low-key. I think its for our kids safety (pedophiles ). I think the other preschool should really learn from this school teaching Philosophy. Highly recommend this pre school because they have a great school Director Miss Melina.
