A Gem of A School

October 13, 2014 by diane

Name: Natalie J.

My two kids attend Oneonta. My initial intention was to only keep my kids there a short period. However, once my first born started attending at age 2 years old, she was so happy and thriving in the environment that we had to keep her there. She was learning fast and well behaved. Shortly after, my son started attending. Tuition was expensive for two kids and we were again considering leaving Oneonta. At my daughters graduation from kindergarten, we had the opportunity to see the 6th graders graduate also. It was then we decided we needed to do whatever it took to keep our kids at Oneonta. We were so impressed with the 6th graders. Their speeches were heartfelt and they were just amazing kids. They were well-spoken and so advanced. (one student that graduated has moved on to the 7th grade and is in a private school and is doing so well- he told him mom that he missed Oneonta and that this new school is easy)

I just want all of you that read this review to know that this is a gem of a school. The curriculum is challenging but they combine hard work with fun and it makes it all work! The talent show they have every year is awesome. This is a safe and happy environment. I’m proud to have my kids at Oneonta. I know we are doing the right thing for our kids– its a sacrifice $ but worth it!

Amazing School

My son is currently going to CMC. He has been attending the school since he was.1 year old and is now turning 4. He loves the school and looks forward to going. All the staff is wonderful and friendly. The director Ms Cindy is stern, but does a wonderful job with the curriculum and definitely cares for her students. I am very happy with what he is learning and that he is comfortable in the environment. I will be sad the day he has to leave.

I Appreciate The Great Work

I really appreciate the great work in shaping the lives of both of my children. My son and my daughter attended Angels Montessori for two years before starting kindergarten. I’m confident they left the school with a solid foundation and the passion necessary to continue learning and growing for the rest of their lives.

Thank you Melina, and all staff!

Amazing Curriculum

My daughter attended pre-school and kindergarten at Angel’s Montessori. The curriculum is amazing. At most schools they teach all the kids the same thing. Not here. If your child is ready for it, they will teach it to your child. My daughter was doing multiplication and 4 digit carry over addition in kindergarten! The teachers are so caring and wonderful. They love the kids and the kids love them. My daughter cried for a half hour on her last day because she was so sad to leave. She just finished 1st grade at another school and received “outstanding” in every subject because her years at Angels prepared her so well. My son will definitely be attending when he turns 2.

A Great School

I never thought that searching for a daycare could be so hard. It is not like you call up a place and they have space available for you. A lot of places that we called they are all booked and people are on waiting list because per State regulations, it is 1 adult per every 4 infants and many places they only allow no more than 8 infants. Of course, I found out the hard way after giving birth to my daughter at the beginning of this year. My mother was suppose to take care of my daughter, but long story short, she was not able to last minute.

Hubby and I was losing hope trying to find a place. Luckily, we were referred to this place by my hubby’s cousin whose daughter came here when she was in her infant years. I called them up and spoke with Cindy (the Director). She was very nice over the phone and we scheduled to come in for a tour of the place. We were introduced to teacher Sandy who was also very nice. The place is located behind a church, but is not part of the church. First time that we were there, it was the children’s nap time and they were all in their little cribs with their blankies. Teacher Sandy suggested that if we want we can come back the following day to spend some time and see how the children are and whether or not it is a place I would want my baby to attend which I thought was a good idea. Came back the next day and had no complaints.

My daughter has been attending this place since she was a little over 2 months old and she will be turning 7 months in August. How time flies! I can tell that she absolutely adores all the teachers there.

This facility accepts infants as young as 2 months. The drop-off and pick-up time for infants are from 7:30am-4:30pm. I am not sure about the toddlers’ schedules. I know pick-up time is early for most parents because some of them don’t get off until 5:00-5:30, however, this place is good if you are a teacher or have flexible working hours.
